Frank Sinatra

Francis Albert Sinatra, mejor conocido como Frank Sinatra fue más que un cantante y actor estadounidense, fue un icono de toda una epoca, su talento vocal y su carisma lo hicieron traspasar la brecha generacional hasta nuestros días.

Fue conocido con diferentes apodos, como "The Voice" (La Voz), "Chairman of the Board’ (Jefe Del Consejo, un poco en doble sentido por sus nexos con la mafia) y "Old Blue Eyes" por sus característicos ojos azules. Durante décadas fue investigado por el FBI y tuvo que declarar ante una comisión del senado.

Sus amistades eran legendarias y variadas, iban desde el presidente Kennedy hasta mafiosos como Sam Giancana, sin embargo su grupo de amigos mas notable era el llamado "Rat Pack" junto a los que contribuyo a edificar la leyenda de lo que hoy es LAS VEGAS. Algunos de sus principales integrantes fueron Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Shirley MacLaine, Lauren Bacall, Marilyn Monroe y Judy Garland.

Pero por más sordidas que puedan haber sido sus conexiones con el crimen, es notorio que Sinatra cimento su carrera basado en el don vocal que tenía.

Fue poeta, borracho, genio, gansgter, pobre y rey, fue e hiso lo que quiso, pero siempre a su manera.

Murio un 14 de mayo de 1998. Sus últimas palabras, pronunciadas después de que le animaran a luchar, fueron: "I'm losing" ("Estoy perdiendo").
